Where FrozenCase began
FrozenCase was founded at the intersection of two professions that kept failing each other: law and software. Trial lawyers were winning cases on facts and losing them on foundations — digital evidence excluded because a screenshot could not be authenticated, a video's timestamp questioned, a chain of custody reconstructed from memory. The engineers who built the platform had spent careers in archival systems and forensics, and together they set a single design rule that still governs everything: nothing stored in FrozenCase may be altered, quietly or otherwise, by anyone, ever.
What the vault does
Evidence enters the vault through a capture process that fixes content, metadata, and time in a tamper-evident state from the first second. Files are hashed on ingest, every subsequent access is logged, and exports arrive in formats designed to withstand admissibility scrutiny — with the custody record travelling alongside the material it protects. Beyond preservation, the platform indexes what it holds: transcripts, exhibits, and media become searchable across a whole caseload, so preparation that once took paralegal weeks takes hours.
Who it serves
FrozenCase is used by defense attorneys, trial lawyers, and corporate legal teams handling criminal, civil, and internal investigations where digital material is decisive. Deployment is deliberately simple — cases can be opened in minutes, and training takes an afternoon — because a preservation tool that nobody files into protects nobody.
- Content, metadata, and timestamps fixed tamper-evidently on ingest
- Hash verification and access logging on every file, every time
- Exports that carry their custody record alongside the evidence
We are not a law firm and offer no legal advice; we build the evidence vault so that the facts you gathered remain the facts you can prove. If your case cannot afford a thawed timestamp, put it on ice with FrozenCase.
